IG-Collie​

IG-Collie​ is a new high yielding, mid-slow ANW with excellent disease resistance and udon sensory characteristics. IG-Collie​ (trialled as IGW8247) provides a 4-5% yield advantage over Kinsei​ (2021-2025 WA Main Season NVT MET).

• Mid-slow maturity, similar to Kinsei​, ideally suited to late-April to early-May sowings.
• Good disease profile including leaf rust (MRMSp), stripe rust (MRMSp) and yellow spot (MRMSp). IG-Collie​ also has good resistance to cereal cyst nematode (MSp^) and flag smut(RMRp^).
• Strong physical grain characteristics, including higher thousand kernel weight and test weight,and lower screenings compared to Kinsei​.
• Excellent noodle quality, better than Ninja​​ and approaching Supreme​​ which is preferred by end-users.
• Tall plant height.
