AH Baker - boy it yields
Key features
DALE (trialled as IGW6993) is a new high yielding, adaptable main season AH wheat with excellent yield potential and stability across a range of environments. DALE provides a significant yield advantage of 7% over Scepter (InterGrain 2019-2024 national long-term MET).
- Mid maturing, similar to Scepter, ideally suited to May sowings
- Good disease profile including good yellow spot (MRMSp), stem rust (MRMSp) and powdery mildew (MSp) resistance. DALE has good resistance to P. thornei (MRMSp) and P. neglectus (MSSp), useful in environments where root lesion nematodes are present
- Strong physical grain characteristics, including good grain size and test weight
- Medium plant height, similar to Scepter
DALE is named in honour of Dale Baker, a respected Western Australia grain grower whose legacy helped shape InterGrain and the wider grains industry.
DALE is available for planting from local resellers and Seedclub Members or through farmer-to-farmer trade.
