Key features
- Slow maturing spring feed barley with excellent yield potential, well suited to high rainfall zones.
- It is 7-10 days slower to mature than Neo CL and RGT Planet and suited for early sowing opportunities and to help manage frost risk.
- In April sown data, EMBER provides a yield advantage over RGT Planet and similar yield potential to Neo CL. In May sown data, EMBER has a yield advantage over RGT Planet, however is significantly lower than Neo CL. A longer growing season should favour its yield performance in early sown scenarios.
- Useful disease resistance, disease ratings can be found in the Product Profile below or by visiting NVT.
- Prostrate plant type, a medium plant height and moderate tolerance to lodging and head loss.
- May be suitable for grain and grazing systems. More data is being collected to validate this.
