We are looking for a leader with strong background in Australian agriculture industry, who can anticipate change, shape commercial strategy and turn innovation into measurable market outcomes.

Reporting directly to the CEO and serving as a member of the Executive team, you will lead InterGrain’s national sales, marketing, commercialisation and grower engagement

THE OPPORTUNITY

As Chief Commercial and Marketing Officer, you will connect InterGrain’s genetics and technical expertise with the needs of growers, advisers, seed partners and end-use markets.

This role requires strategic vision, strong commercial judgement and a bias for action. You will bring together market intelligence, grower insight, sales performance, CRM, analytics and emerging technologies to drive adoption, strengthen customer relationships and deliver sustainable commercial growth.

YOUR MANDATE

  • Partner with breeders and seed production teams to inform breeding selections, commercialisation decisions and seed supply strategies that deliver successful variety launches and long-term market growth.
  • Lead product positioning, commercial launch strategies and market development for new varieties and technologies.
  • Strengthen channel performance through effective relationships with growers, advisers, seed partners and industry stakeholders.
  • Develop innovative engagement and decision-making tools that help growers and advisers confidently select and optimise crop varieties.
  • Use CRM, AI, analytics, customer data and market intelligence to improve segmentation, engagement and commercial decision-making.
  • Ensure grower, market and end-user insights inform portfolio strategy, product development, commercial prioritisation and investment decisions.
  • Establish clear commercial objectives, forecasts and performance measures, with accountability for delivery.
  • Build the capability, alignment and impact of a nationally distributed marketing team.
  • Contribute to enterprise strategy, organisational leadership and cross-functional decision-making as a member of the Executive team.

ABOUT YOU

You are a strategic and commercially astute executive who can translate innovation into customer value and measurable business outcomes. You combine market insight with disciplined execution and are comfortable making decisions in a complex, changing environment.

You are energised by innovation, motivated by the opportunity to influence Australian agriculture and able to build trust across scientific, technical, commercial and industry communities.

Experience in the Australian agriculture industry is essential. Experience in working with growers, farming systems, seed, genetics, plant breeding, agricultural technology, licensing, commercial partnerships or decisionsupport tools would be highly regarded.

Applicants must have the appropriate visas to work in Australia. The role must be based in Perth or Horsham.

You will bring:

  • Senior executive experience in commercial leadership, agribusiness, sales, commercialisation, product strategy or marketing.
  • Strong knowledge of Australian agriculture, particularly grain and farming systems, and credibility with growers, advisers, commercial partners and industry stakeholders.
  • A demonstrated record of delivering market growth, customer value and measurable commercial outcomes.
  • Experience developing and executing commercial strategies across products, markets and customer channels.
  • Strong capability in sales leadership, commercial planning, market development and customer engagement.
  • Experience using CRM, analytics and customer insights to support commercial decisions and growth.
  • The ability to translate complex science and technology into compelling customer and commercial value.
  • Strong financial and commercial judgement, including an understanding of pricing, portfolio prioritisation and return on investment.
  • Experience leading and developing geographically distributed teams.
